David Watkins, who is currently participating in the Landmark Education Self-Expression and Leadership Programme, recently had the opportunity to be an extra in the major new motion picture “Australia”, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. His friends wanted to see him in the movie, so he put together an event. Then he had an idea: Make the event his Self-Expression and Leadership programme project, and benefit a worthy cause.
The event, which will be held at 4pm on December 14 at Hoyt’s Australia in Sydney, costs $20, with attendees getting a chance to win a door prize. The money is going to Sydney Legacy, a charity that benefits widows and family members of those who perished while defending Australia.
“Our land, our culture, our freedom’s and our very way of life would all have been lost without the contribution of our armed services, and the senior generation,” said Watkins. “In attending this event not only will you be in the running for a lucky door prize, but you will also be giving something back to the community.”
